Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A & B) on assigned routes throughout the Midwest.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment.
- Verify load accuracy and secure freight properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT medical card) is mandatory.
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting is a plus.
