Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely and efficiently drive Class A or Class B commercial trucks on various routes.
- Load & Unload Freight: Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded accurately to prevent damage.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in top condition.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and schedules.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports accurately and on time.
- Safety First: Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a clean driving record.
- Medical Certification: Hold a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of trucking software and GPS navigation systems.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
