Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on local and inter-city routes.
- Deliver cargo to designated locations while adhering to strict delivery schedules and time windows.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Load and secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Uphold company policies regarding safety and professional conduct at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Experience with dry van, flatbed, or tanker operations is preferred but not always required.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and navigation.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
