Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently within the Columbus metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks as needed.
- Observe all traffic laws and DOT regulations to ensure passenger and cargo safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local Columbus, OH streets and traffic patterns.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
