Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Complete all necessary pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (HOS) and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Navigate efficiently to delivery and pickup locations, minimizing delivery times.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading procedures.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road signs, and safety regulations.
- Must possess a valid Medical Certificate (DOT medical card).
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
