Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A or B trucks safely and efficiently on highways and local roads.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand tools as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with necessary endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a DOT physical exam.
- Basic math skills for fuel and mileage calculations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
