Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and delivery vans in a safe and efficient manner on local and regional routes.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Cargo Handling: Load, secure, and unload cargo using proper handling equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation in strict accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Safety Adherence: Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and designated route plans.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and drivers to ensure high satisfaction levels.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with the required endorsements.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Medical Certification: Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT card.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Clean Record: Must have a clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
