Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo integrity throughout the transit.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and daily mileage records.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Pennsylvania.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo of varying weights (up to 50lbs) occasionally.
