Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently in adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any necessary route adjustments.
- Adhere to strict FMCSA safety standards and company protocols at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, hazardous materials handling (if applicable), and logbook compliance.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for performing routine vehicle checks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required.
