Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing proper securing techniques.
- Maintain accurate logbooks (ELD) and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the truck clean and maintained to company standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic math skills for weight and measurement calculations.
- Willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
