Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive 18-wheelers, dump trucks, or box trucks on designated routes in Virginia and surrounding regions.
- Load and Unload: Secure cargo using straps, chains, and binders, ensuring safety compliance.
- Maintain Vehicle Records: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log maintenance requirements.
- Compliance: Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies.
- Customer Service: Deliver goods on time and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Documentation: Accurately complete logbooks, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Documentation: Valid DOT Medical Card, CDL permit, and Social Security Card.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use electronic logging devices (ELD).
