Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across Louisiana and Southeastern routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver freight on time with precise documentation and route optimization
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with HOS guidelines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Handle loading/unloading operations with proper equipment handling
- Report maintenance issues and ensure vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- 1+ year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Knowledge of Louisiana/Georgia road networks and regulations
- Smartphone for daily check-in and route updates
- Flexibility for early morning/overnight shifts
- Twic card preferred but not required for initial hire
