Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement according to safety regulations.
- Verify and sign bills of lading and delivery receipts accurately.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Keep the truck clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in the past 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
