Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform detailed daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and document any issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks (DVIR) and ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) valid for at least 90 days.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol screening.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks.
- Strong customer service skills and a high level of attention to detail.
