Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes and maintain accurate delivery logs via electronic logging devices
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs promptly
- Load/unload cargo with precision and secure loads according to safety standards
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication
- Adhere to strict delivery timelines and maintain 99% on-time performance
- Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Experience with electronic logging devices and fleet management software
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Must be available for overnight trips and flexible scheduling
