Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across the Bay Area
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and local traffic laws
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle secure cargo loading/unloading with proper documentation
- Respond proactively to changing schedules and delivery requirements
- Maintain clean driving record and report any maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (MVR)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with California route planning and port operations
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and nights
- Strong communication skills and customer service focus
