Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated trailers) on multi-state routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient delivery routes while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and secure cargo according to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Maintain electronic logging system (ELD) compliance and required documentation
- Represent the company with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility for overnight travel and weekend shifts as needed
