Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across Michigan and Midwest routes
- Inspect and maintain vehicles daily to ensure DOT compliance
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Implement defensive driving practices in all weather conditions
- Complete required paperwork and electronic logging system documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing into/onto vehicles
- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including nights/weekends
- Must be 21+ years old
