Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe, efficient, and legal manner at all times.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Keep the truck interior and exterior clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (1 year local preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
