Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on schedule and within company standards.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and proper securing.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image while representing the company at customer sites.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and DOT regulations strictly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience required.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical examination certificate.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks related to cargo handling.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
