Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on local and regional delivery routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to minimize risks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal transportation regulations.
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations and fuel management.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends if required.
