Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on local and regional routes within the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts to ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and verifying delivery locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, and perform basic maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the necessary endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples may be preferred).
- A clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50-100 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
