Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within California.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring secure handling and adherence to weight limits.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation (Bill of Lading).
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license (Commercial Driver's License) required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
