Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently to meet strict delivery schedules.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and electronic logging records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) available for inspection.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of cargo handling and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
