Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) on local and regional delivery routes with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or damages.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Maintain accurate records, including mileage, fuel, and delivery logs (E-Logs preferred).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to minimize risk.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle's interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
