Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in all weather conditions and varying traffic situations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all freight is handled with care and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and valid DOT physical.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of logistics and freight handling procedures.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission truck.
