Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport cargo to designated locations throughout Los Angeles and the surrounding region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues.
- Secure cargo properly, ensuring weight distribution and load safety for transport.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries and manage route changes.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial motor vehicle.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen as required by federal regulations.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
