Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) for local and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Load/unload freight with precision and care using proper equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS systems for efficient route planning and real-time updates
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate maintenance promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Familiarity with California roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and hazmat procedures (plus certification a plus)
- Strong communication skills and time management abilities
