Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed) across Northern California routes
- Maintain strict compliance with DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and safety protocols
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and document all vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization and timely deliveries
- Handle secure cargo loading/unloading with proper weight distribution
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for accurate record-keeping
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency with ELD systems and basic navigation technology
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied weather conditions
- Knowledge of California-specific road regulations and hazmat handling (if applicable)
- Strong time management and communication skills
