Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on regional and local routes.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling as required.
- Maintain accurate digital logs (ELD) and daily delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
- Uphold the company's high standards for safety and customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the proper endorsements.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
