Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes across North Carolina and surrounding states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and securement procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route conditions, delays, or delivery issues
- Participate in continuous safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Must be at least 23 years of age with valid passport for border crossings
