Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across designated regional routes
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Implement defensive driving techniques to maximize safety on mountainous terrain
- Manage loading/unloading operations with proper equipment usage
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Strong navigation skills and route optimization capabilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for regional overnight travel (2-3 nights/week)
