Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads with appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUI or serious moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Basic understanding of trucking terminology and navigation tools.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day.
