Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe, efficient, and legal manner at all times.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic signs, signals, and speed limits.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues promptly.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with the required endorsements (Hazmat and Tanker preferred but not always required).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid DOT physical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of road maps, GPS navigation systems, and local Fresno/CA routes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
