Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate Class A or Class B trucks to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Maintain Vehicle Condition: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load & Unload Cargo: Secure freight properly using straps and chains; assist with loading and unloading as required by the route.
- Compliance Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD), bills of lading, and delivery receipts in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and federal regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a similar role.
- Clean Record: Must have a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and dispatchers.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
