Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation for all deliveries and pickups.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to minimize accident risks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat/Tankers preferred but not required).
- A clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
- Ability to lift and handle freight manually up to 50 lbs occasionally.
