Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in strict accordance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Deliver cargo to designated locations within established time frames while maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting findings accurately on DVIRs.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (HOS) and complete all required delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload freight safely, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, traffic laws, and driving regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in remote areas.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight travel.
