Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company procedures at all times.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal trucking regulations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
