Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Georgia and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques per DOT regulations
- Adhere to HOS (Hours of Service) protocols and electronic logging compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status and route changes
- Represent Metro Transport Solutions through professional conduct at customer sites
- Participate in continuous safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening upon hire
- Familiarity with Atlanta metro area and southeastern US geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Basic knowledge of freight types and securement methods
- Willingness to pass company-specific background check
