Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all driving activities and cargo
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and potential delays
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of cargo with proper securing techniques
- Report any maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
