Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver freight on schedule while maintaining accurate delivery records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety procedures
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Jacksonville metro area and Florida highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility for irregular hours and overnight routes
