Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods per DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to meet delivery deadlines
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment handling protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Adhere to all local/state traffic laws and company safety policies
- Document delivery exceptions and maintain accurate paperwork
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Knowledge of California weight restrictions and route planning
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
