Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily mileage logs.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Class A preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) on file.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
