As a CDL Driver for MetroLink, you will be responsible for transporting freight across the Midwest while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in compliance with all local, state, and federal DOT regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate schedules and delivery requirements.
- Adhere to strict safety policies to minimize risk and ensure the safety of the public and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) on file.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safe driving practices.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to handle minor vehicle issues.
