Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including mileage records and delivery receipts.
- Deliver products to customers in a timely manner while maintaining a professional demeanor and excellent customer service.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience preferred; new graduates with clean records are encouraged to apply.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation.
