Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, straight trucks) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage or accidents.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork (Bills of Lading, Delivery Receipts).
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred (fresh graduates with CDL are encouraged to apply).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) and proof of insurance.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
