Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for long-haul and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with precision using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Adapt to changing schedules and weather conditions while maintaining on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Strong navigation skills and proficiency with GPS systems
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb into trailers
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays
