Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and utilizing straps/tarps as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logbooks at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and safety personnel regarding delivery schedules and route adjustments.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or Class B for specific roles).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT Drug Screen clearance.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures and DOT regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
