Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods within Austin and surrounding regions
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Ensure secure handling of specialized cargo including hazardous materials (if endorsed)
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and delivery apps
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
