Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes while accounting for weather, traffic, and delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Submit timely paperwork including delivery confirmations and mileage reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with California roadways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
